What you manage vs. what Autolane manages

Context

You're looking for where to change a delivery setting, and you want to understand what you can adjust yourself versus what Autolane handles for you.

Answer

Direct Delivery is largely a managed service, so most of the operational setup is handled for you. Here's the split.

Set up and managed by Autolane These are configured for you during onboarding. To change any of them, contact your Autolane representative:

  • Delivery windows — the hours during which deliveries run

  • Service area & delivery radius — how far deliveries reach from each location

  • Dispatch and vehicles — Autolane assigns vehicles and dispatches deliveries automatically; you don't schedule or route anything

  • Customer notifications — the text and tracking link your customers receive are sent automatically by Autolane

Managed through your DSP

  • Which orders go to autonomous delivery — your existing delivery orchestration platform decides when a delivery is sent to Autolane, using the rules you already have in place

Managed by you

  • Team access — add or remove people on your account (see Requesting team access)

  • Your customer microsite — your branding and the contact details your customers see (see Customizing your customer microsite)
